Falt4 has been developed and tested for 4 years on a company internal base.
Now, the time has come where we put everything under the LGPL license.
We believe this is the best solution, because Open Source is cooperative while other ways of doing
software can be combative.
Open Source is strong to achieve sustained success for our customers and in the end for our
culture. Open Source is one vehicle for improving the lot of mankind, and for having fun while
we're at it.
But that's not all. There are even simpler reasons to place a product opensource.
From a business view there is another very strong reason:
Since the code is available for everybody, you are free to choose which developer you want.
Even if Faltwerk should someday go to hell, you still can move to another company with your whole project.
Or if you do not like us at all, you can start now, by downloading the code and do with it nearly whatever you like (read the license!).
